Radicals Impress At Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Formula One stars from the past and present experienced the incredible SR3 RS ahead of the inaugural Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, courtesy of Radical United Arab Emirates.

Last Wednesday saw the Royal Bank of Scotland host a special corporate hospitality day at Dubai Autodrome, with racing legend Sir Jackie Stewart and AT&T Williams F1’s driver Nico Rosberg. In a special RBS-branded Radical SR3, Rosberg treated the bank’s guests to high-speed passenger rides around the Dubai Motor City circuit.

On Thursday evening, Radical UAE/AUH Motorsports were the proud sponsors of the Chequered Flag Ball at the Intercontinental Hotel Abu Dhabi, the ‘traditional’ start to any Grand Prix weekend. Guests of the evening were thrilled to watch hosts David Coulthard and Martin Brundle arrive at the event in a pair of Radical SR3 RSs. Although not normally road-legal, Abu Dhabi police were happy to give Radical a dispensation for the evening.

“To hear the engines roar through the Abu Dhabi streets was an outstanding experience,” said Radical UAE’s Carl Rolaston. “The RBS guests had a great day out; Jackie Stewart was extremely complimentary about the Radical brand and Brundle was even overheard saying; “What a great little car!”
