Radical Makes It Five Years At Le Mans

28th May 2010

Radical will return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year, after the Swiss Racing Performance team was today granted a late entry for its Radical SR9-Judd.

The ACO have constructed an additional pit garage a Le Mans circuit, allowing an additional car to add this year’s 55-strong field. As the first-choice reserve, the ex-Rollcentre car will be representing Radical during its fifth year of competition at the French endurance classic.

Racing Performance has already had time to acclimatise to the car, stepping up to the Le Mans Series LMP2 class this year. The team have competed at Paul Ricard and Spa-Francorchamps so far this year, and have experience competing in both the Renault Megane Eurocup and Swiss Formula Renault.

The #28 Radical will be driven by seasoned SR9 pilots Pierre Bruneau and Marc Rostan, and 2005 Swiss Formula Renault champion Ralph Meichtry. Their entry means that the 2010 24 Hours of Le Mans will have the biggest grid since 1955.

Radical wishes Race Performance the very best in their preparations for this year’s race, taking place in only two weeks’ time, on 12-13 June.
